How Hard Water in Faridabad Damages Hair

If your hair feels rough, your colour fades in weeks and shampoo barely lathers — hard water is very likely the culprit.

How Hard Water in Faridabad Damages Hair

What hard water does to hair

Much of Faridabad's borewell supply is high in calcium and magnesium. Those minerals bind to the hair shaft and leave a film that no ordinary shampoo removes.

The result: dull, straw-like texture, tangles, itchy flaky scalp, colour that turns brassy fast, and shampoo that refuses to lather.

How to tell it's the water

Your hair feels coated and squeaky-rough right after washing rather than soft.

Fresh colour or highlights fade or go brassy within 3–4 weeks.

There's white scale around your taps and shower head.

Fixes at home

Fit a shower filter — the single most effective step, and it costs less than one colour service.

Use a chelating or clarifying shampoo once every 1–2 weeks to lift mineral build-up.

Do a final rinse with filtered or RO water, or a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse (1 tbsp in a mug) to restore pH.

Add a weekly moisturising mask — hard-water hair is chronically dehydrated.

What we do in the salon

Detox / clarifying wash: professional strength, strips mineral film without stripping colour.

Hair spa with deep conditioning: restores moisture and slip after the detox.

Colour gloss / toner: neutralises the brassiness hard water creates between colour appointments.

How often to reset

For most Faridabad guests, one professional clarifying treatment plus a hair spa every 4–6 weeks keeps texture and colour looking fresh — even without a shower filter at home.
